- the study of defense policies (including the defense technical-industrial dimension) of the states of the Euro-Atlantic, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern areas
- the analysis of the postures of international groupings (military and security alliances, including the technical and capacity dimensions) in the Euro-Atlantic (EU, NATO), Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spaces
- the study of the strategic interaction between national defense policies (including the techno-industrial dimension) and the participation in international groupings (military and security alliances, including the technical and capacity dimensions) of states of the Euro-Atlantic, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern areas.
