The Foundation for Strategic Research, on behalf of the European Union, is pleased to invite you to the annual side event organised on the margins of the UNGA First Committee. The side event will take place on Webex on 29 October 2020, in two sessions in order to accommodate different time zones.
  • Session 1 will be held from 08:00 to 09:30 GMT / 09:00 to 10:30 CET.
  • Session 2 will be held from 14:30 to 16:00 GMT / 15:30 to 17:00 CET.

The event will focus this year on the current state of ballistic missile proliferation:

What are the key trends and dynamics in ballistic proliferation today? What are the main state and non-state actors involved? How do they weaken export controls in place? And which roles can CBMs such as the HCoC have in addressing these challenges? These are some of the questions our panelists will address in our webinar, with a focus on the Middle East and the Yemen conflict.
